BRASS FUSION’s 90-minute concert at Eastbourne had a dramatic start with players performing Charpentier’s Te Deum from four different parts of the bandstand this afternoon.
The rest of the programme kept the audience guessing with a mixture of jazz, swing, pop, show tunes and traditional.
Bass trombone, James Slaney, made his solo deput with the group playing Wandering Star. Paul Labus and Alfie Hughes played The Prayer, a flugal and euphonium duet that is new to BRASS FUSION.
The appreciative audience joined in with clapping and whoops in Uptown Funk and some even got to their feet for the dance numbers.
Special thanks to Trevor for compering the concert.
