Another successful Proms for us at Red Oaks, Henfield.
We always bring the sunshine to our performances (almost guaranteed!) and this year was no exception. Luckily not 35 degrees but certainly hot enough!
Always a pleasure having the talented Yvonne Lloyd singing with us!
A huge thank to Red Oaks for hosting and here’s to next year.
Here’s just a few recordings and photos that we’ve had sent to us, which hopefully gives an idea of the varied programme we played today.

Dublin Tour, The Final Day…
Day 5 –
Last day before we all head home tomorrow.
Travelled to Collins Barracks, National Museum of Ireland.
Had a look around the museum then just about managed to finish our set before the weather took a turn for the worst.
Then a quick walk across the river to visit the Guinness Storehouse where we had our ‘complimentary pint’.

Dublin Tour Days 3 & 4…
Day 3 –
Super morning playing at Rathwood where once again the weather held for us. We also has a train trip around the grounds.
In the afternoon we came back to base and had a relaxed rehearsal.

Day 4 –
We had the most rewarding time at Holy Spirit Girls National School where we played and demonstrated the instruments at morning assembly.
Always fun to do and the children really got involved.
Afterwards we were invited in for refreshments and enjoyed a huge spread of fresh sandwiches and cake!
A huge thank you to the School for making us feel so welcome!
The afternoon was spent on a Big Bus Tour around Dublin.
Super day!!!

Dublin Tour Days 1 & 2…
Day 1 –
First gig playing on Dundrum Town Centre Bandstand followed by a very rewarding afternoon entertaining the residents of Cara Care Centre
We were spoilt with lunch before and refreshments after our performance.
Also, photos of our Stable accommodation and grounds.

Day 2 –
Rain did NOT stop play today!!!!
The morning on St Stephens Green Bandstand. A surprising number of people, considering the weather, made for a great atmosphere. Shame the organisers didn’t turn up to unlock the entrance to the Bandstand, but we managed to get on!! 😂
The afternoon was at the National Botanic Gardens where we were invited to play in their Auditorium. Loads of visitors coming in and out while we entertained.
Super acoustic and fantastic staff with complimentary refreshments after.
Great day….then back to base for a takeaway.
