BRASS FUSION saw its best-ever audience for Proms in the Park, now a favourite event of the summer for Henfield, West Sussex.
This year was a poignant occasion because the group said goodbye to compere, Brian Grindall, who is moving to Scotland.
The programme also included three pieces by composer-in- residence, David Huges, who died a few weeks ago. The most moving was David’s flugel solo, Why?, played beautifully by Andy Hodges.
Special thanks to mezzo soprano, Sidonie Winter, for the James Bond numbers, Skyfall and Nobody Does it Better, and for leading the singing in the traditional Prom-night numbers.
BRASS FUSION also sends its thanks and best wishes to Brian and his wife Amanda for their exciting new life.
