BRASS FUSION went to the movies twice in four weeks in a pair of concerts of film and TV music, combined with a quiz night.
Enthusiastic audiences at Henfield Hall and Horley Baptist Church gave the group a very warm reception for the programme of much-loved hits and theme tunes.
The programme included the themes from Superman, Singing in the Rain, Star Wars, Skyfall and Hawaii Five-O, along with favourites such as Sing, Sing, Sing (The Artist), My Favourite Things (Sound of Music), You Can Leave Your Hat On (The Full Monty) and Soul Bossa Nova (Justin Powers).
Kevin Hughes played the soprano cornet solo Live and Let Die and Sian Buss on sousaphone featured in Under the Boardwalk, the title track from the 1980s teen romance.
Special thanks as always to Brian Grindall for compering and to Pete McGovern for standing in on cornet at Horley.
