A weekend of music…

We had a great time playing at Sussexdown Country House Care Home for their Music in the Garden afternoon on 8th July.

Weather was a little unsettled to start with but the sun came out and we ventured outside.

Some super comments from residents, their friends and families.

Sunday 9th July was an afternoon spent on Eastbourne Bandstand!

Once again the weather cleared up for us and even had the sun out for a while! Appreciative audience and we had fun!

Comments like this make it all worthwhile:

“As a regular to the Eastbourne bandstand and a lover of all music, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the varied performance this afternoon. It was as if I had requested the repertoire since they were all favourites. Well done everyone, tremendous.”

“A great show this afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed it, playing popular bandstand music that the public want to hear.”

BrassFusion on tour, Jersey 2023!

A very busy schedule with 10 performances in 5 days but it’s what we’re all about….. ENTERTAINING.

What a fantastic trip and what a warm reception the people of Jersey gave us!

Already thinking of next years tour, I wonder where we’ll end up next…

Day 1:

We definitely brought the sunshine with us!! Our musical tour started with a morning concert at a local residential care home before an evening concert at Trinity Parish Hall.

Day 2:

A morning looking around Jersey Zoo followed by a Bandstand Concert at Howard Davis Park in the afternoon. From there to The Earl Grey Pub for a superb meal, after which we played popular music from 7-9pm.

All in all, a busy but super fun day!

Day 3:

Playing in the morning at Jersey Zoo entertaining the visitors then onto Marina Metro Hotel for a delicious lunch followed by a couple of hours playing to their customers and people walking the promenade.

Free time in the evening for another meal and drinks overlooking the nearby harbour.

Day 4:

Another great day in Jersey.

Two very special performances today.

The first was at St Georges Prep School where we played to children of years 2-6 then giving a demonstration of the instruments, hopefully giving some of them inspiration to start playing.

Next was entertaining the Le Geyt Day Centre attendees who enjoyed it as much as we did.

Free time after to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and a meal at Brelade’s Bay Beach.

Day 5:

Our final day of playing…

10am outside the entrance of Jersey War Tunnels, then onto Holme Grown Farm Centre where we entertained the members of Parkinson’s Jersey at their monthly lunch meeting. Then back to our hotel for pool side photos and a last meal out at St Aubin’s Bay.
